As the title states, this is more of a life motto of my new-found career.
I have found a sense of release with this perspective. It takes LOADS and LOADS of PRESSURE OFF- trust me. In the industry of broadway, film, television, the ultimate short term goal is booking the job but the long term goal is becoming the best auditioner. Why? Because each individual job is temporary compared to the job of an auditioner.
Once one is able to become a success auditioner??? LISTENNNNNN it gets easier- imo....
Knowing that you did your absolute best in every audition however you show up that day is more mentally sustainable for me. Rather than thinking, "God, I really need this job" (#iykyk) I have to tell myself "God, thank you for this opportunity to share what you have given me." This is how I know I will be success regardless. I am mentally ready for this marathon- LETSSSS GOOOO.
